Job Summary:

As a Business Development Manager – Export Sales, you will play a critical role in expanding our global footprint. You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing new business opportunities in international markets, focusing on driving export sales and increasing market share. You will work closely with internal teams to understand product offerings and customer needs while cultivating long-term relationships with international clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities in international markets, including researching and exploring potential markets, customers, and partners.
  • Export Strategy: Develop and execute export sales strategies to meet the company’s global growth objectives and revenue targets.
  • Market Expansion: Drive market entry and expansion efforts in new regions by analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competition.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing and potential international clients, distributors, and partners.
  • Negotiation & Closing: Lead the negotiation process for contracts, pricing, and terms of sale to maximize revenue and profitability. Ensure timely follow-up and closing of sales.
  • Product Knowledge & Customization: Work closely with the product team to understand offerings and customize solutions that cater to the specific needs of international markets.
  • Export Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all export transactions comply with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and documentation procedures.
  • Sales Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates on sales performance, pipeline, and market developments. Analyze sales data and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, logistics, legal, finance, etc.) to ensure smooth execution of international orders and contracts.
  • Travel: Travel to international markets to meet clients, attend trade shows, and explore new business opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in export sales or business development, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth in international markets.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or additional certifications in international trade are a plus.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of international sales strategies, export regulations, and global markets.
  • Proven track record in closing deals and managing large, complex accounts.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to identify market trends and create strategic plans to enter and expand in new international markets.
  • In-depth knowledge of export documentation, logistics, and trade compliance.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
